POLICE HONOR GUARD

The Police Honor Guard Unit was established in 1994, recognizing the need for a formal representation at funerals and public events. The unit is composed of members of the Exeter Police Department who serve on the unit on a voluntary basis.They have participated in the funerals of retired Exeter Police Officers, Police Officers from other states and towns and dedications of police officer's memorials.

SERT TEAM

The Exeter Police Department is a member of the regional SERT Team (Seacoast Emergency Response Team). The SERT team is comprised of police officers from several seacoast area police departments in a cooperative effort to handle incidents that require a specialized response. Police officers on the Exeter Police Department that are members of the team are specially trained to bring a successful resolution to crisis situations.

MOUNTAIN BIKE PATROL

The Mountain Bike Patrol Unit was established in 1993 as part of community policing policies adopted nation wide. The use of mountain bikes allow the officers to get into otherwise inaccessible areas. It also allowed for a more personal contact between local residents and the officers.
